All ESL applicants born outside the United States who apply for admission (other than to the Nursing Assistant course) must take and pass The TOEFL ® Test - Test of English as a Foreign Language™ with a minimum score of 20 in both Speaking and Listening, 17 in Writing, 16 in Reading, and 73 overall. All test scores must be submitted to the Director, Academic Affairs, St. Joseph School of Nursing. The School of Nursing TOEFL code number is 1677. Applicants with scores below the minimum required may be referred to other academic institutions for evaluation of language skills proficiency and follow up recommendations. Additional Requirements for LPN to RN Transition Applicants In addition to meeting criteria for entry into the ASN program, the LPN to RN Transition applicant must also:1. Have graduated from an accredited school of practical nursing 2. Be a practicing LPN with a minimum of one year experience 3. Hold a current license in the State of New Hampshire 4. Provide a statement of clinical proficiency from recent employer 5. Successfully complete the LPN to RN Transition Course with a 78 (C+) or above 6. Successfully pass the following achievement exams: a. NLN Anatomy & Physiology with a score of 70 or above b. ERI Fundamentals of Nursing with a score of 69 or above c. ERI Nursing Care of Adults Part I with a score of 56 or above d. ERI Nursing Care of Adults Part II with a score of 56 or above TUITION & FEES
